Meet our Coaches

Coach Eric Howard

Eric Howard was born and raised in Smyrna, GA. Graduated in 1992 from Campbell High School in Smyrna under the legendary coach David Boyd, currently coaching at Excel Christian Academy. Coach Howard p[ayed with and against some great players and current coaches, Coach Jermaine Sellers, at Kell High School and Coach Marcus Hood at Allatoona High School , just to name a few. Coach Howard attented a Junior College in Kansas beofre transfering to Georgia Southen University. Coach Howard has been coaching and doing indivudal training for girls and boys since 2000. He coached the middle school program for Hiram High School from 2010 -2012. 


"I enjoy coaching mainly because of my love for the game and my passion to help develop players. There is no greater feeling like encouraging youth athletes to further develop their skills. Rather it be through persistence, determination, resilience and/or leadership; my job isn’t done until each player move from a ‘Beginner to a BALLER’. "

Coach Sascha Gober

Coach Sasha grew up in Marietta, GA and is a 1991 Osborne High School graduate. Graduate of Chattachooche Tech with a degree in business. Sascha grew up playing youth basketball at the legendary Parks & Recs of Lawrence Street Rec, The Canteen and the Salvation Army of Marietta. Freshman year played in the 9th grade state finals representing Wills High School. Later attended R.L. Osborne and became a 2-year Letterman in basketball under coach, Eddie Fincher. 


Coach Sascha has coached recreational youth basktball with Paulding County from 2008- 2014 before joining Lights Out Ballers in 2014. Here he has assisted with all age groups from ages 9 to 17 and under. 


Goal : To teach our youth life , sportsmanship and take them from Beginners to Ballers! 

Coach Jabez Neville

Coach Neville has been coaching youth sports both in New York and Georgia for over 26 years. Coach Neville has coached baseball, basketball, and football. His basketball experince includes 5 years of assitant varsiry and 3 years as the head coach of the Junior Varsity of Tuckahoe High School in New York. After moving to Georgia in 2001, Coach Neville has been actively volunteering in youth sports. Coach Neville joined the Lights Out family last spring under direction of head coach Eric Howard to develop a program to help young athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally,
